Interval Training

Interval training has been proven to improve strength, stamina and cardio vascular fitness. This workout has several intervals of high intensity followed by low intensity and works the whole body. Whilst this program has been designed for the fitter participant, there is no reason why those who have not yet achieved their full fitness potential cannot participate. Simply join in the exercises that are appropriate for you and skip those that are too challenging. There are easier and harder options demonstrated for many of the exercises. So take the easy option until you feel fit enough to try the more challenging ones.

Starting an exercise program is one of best things you can do for your health. Physical activity can reduce risk of many chronic diseases such as heart disease and osteoporosis, it also improves balance and coordination and helps maintain healthy weight. In addition exercise can boost your self-esteem and help fight depression.

If you haven’t exercised for a while, it’s recommended that you consult your doctor before starting a fitness regime.

Core Strength

Our Core-Strength video is a must for anyone either commencing a fitness program or those of you who currently exercise regularly. Many elite athletes are unaware how to correctly engage their deep core muscles. Exercising without correct core muscle activation can lead to back pain and muscle strain.

In this video you will learn how to activate your abdominal muscles, back muscles and the muscles around the pelvis. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many physical activities. And it is essential for back health.

There is no prerequisite for participating in this workout. It has been made with the general population in mind. Even if you have never exercised, there will be exercises that are suitable for you. Just begin with the easy options and once you have mastered these, you can progress to the more difficult ones. It does not matter which level you reach but that, whatever level you chose to work at, you will be strengthening your core muscles and working at a level suitable for you.

Stretch – Back & Lower Body

Stretching improves flexibility, range of motion and helps prevent injury. Breathing and posture may also be improved. This video demonstrates a range of stretches for the back and lower body that are suitable for different levels of ability. Simply choose to participate in the postures that are within your own ability and, as you improve, you can participate in the more advanced ones.
